How to Get Driving License in Kenya?
What you need to know: -
Driving license is a permit that authorizes an individual to drive / operate a vehicle or motor cycle on the road.
Like there are several categories of driving licenses namely:
The Class "E" – allows a driver to drive light vehicles only.
The Class "B, C and E" – allows driver to drive both light vehicles and heavy commercial vehicles.
The Class "I" – This is a special license that incorporates authority to drive
Articulated motor vehicles, prime movers, forklifts, and shovels, etc..
The Following are the kenyan driving license Requirements -
1. The applicant must be over 18 years of age when applying for motor vehicles driving license and over 16 years of age when applying for a motor cycle license.
Copy of National Identity card and two recent passport size photographs of the applicant.
Duly filled Form VII obtained from the Road Transport Department offices or the District Commissioners offices.
The applicant must have learnt how to drive at a registered driving school.
The applicant must also undergo a driving test examination that is conducted by driving test examiners (police officers)
So, Successful applicant is issued with a Drivers Certificate of Competency endorsed in respect of class for which the test has been taken.
Applicant is required to pay a prescribed fee at the Road Transport Department offices or any District Commissioners Office. Interim Driving License is issued to the applicant while waiting for the actual driving license.
As known Kenya revenue authority would like to inform all drivers that it is an offence under the Traffic Act to operate or drive a vehicle without a driving license.

Step 2: Obtaining the form. Step 3: Meeting with the Deputy Director. Step 4: Meeting with the Medical Commissioner. Step 5: Eye Exam. Steps 6: Paying the Medical Commissioner (but not personally), Second Meeting with the Commissioner and Getting the Commissioner's Stamp. Step 7: Second Meeting with the Deputy Director. Step 8: Paying for a Learners Permit and Ministry Fees. Step 9: Retrieving for your license.
