Procedure To Get Internation Driving license in Gujarat

International Driving License

1) First of all you have to register yourself here https sarathi nic in 8443 UF pdfforms .

o Just take care while opening up the website you might come across security certificate warning you should choose Continue To This Website option. .

2. The second step is filling the form shown to you on the system only when the Application Number is generated. The boxes marked with in RED color are mandatory and should be filled in without fail.

3. So once you fill up the necessary details press Submit button. After that a message will be displayed as Your Application is Saved Successfully. Here you should note down the Application No before submitting the form.

4. After finishing the Form now you need to fix an appointment for the Learner’s License Test. In order to fix the meeting choose Appointment for LL Test under the Online Transaction with Sarathi Section .

5. Next step is after clicking on that Link, you will see LL Slot booking option in the navigation Bar choose LL Test for Online Applicants thereafter so you will require Application Form number & Birthdates in order to login to fix the Test timings. .

6. After that choose the appropriate date-time of your convenience & be there with the following proofs along with the printout of your appointment letter.

- From this any one of the Following Residential proofs is valid

o Like Passport

o Like Light Bill

o Said as Election Card

o And also Life Insurance Policy

- Below this any of the following Age related proofs is valid

o The School Leaving Certificate

o And Birth Certificate

And you also need to bring Original Copies of your preferred proofs along with the photocopies. Your Original copies will be returned to you.

7. You will have to pay Rs385 in order to include your Learning License & Permanent License for Two wheeler with gear as well as LMV (four-wheeler) NON-TRANSPORT

Alternate procedure:-

THE PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT IDP

1) The application Form CMV 4A available in the office/download from the website.

2) The IDP Fee of Rs 500 to be payable at Cash Counter.

3) The Original Valid Driving License and Passport and Visa and Air Ticket with one set Xerox copies.

4) And also Medical Certificate in form CMV 1 & CMV 1A shall be enclosed along with the application.

5) With three recent passport size photographs.

6) The Candidate shall appear in person.

7) The particular applicant should be citizen of India.

8) Here the applicant shall appear for re-test if the Driving License issued is within three months.

9) Address in the Driving license should fall under the jurisdiction of the Regional Transport office to where the application for IDP is being made.

Given validity and delivery of IDP

Validity of the IDP will be for one year or till the validity of the driving license which ever occurs first.

NOTE some cases of driving license belonging to other regions state the applicant should apply and obtain change of address in the driving license. Like in some of the case of license issued by other regions within Karnataka state the time required for change of address is three days and in case of driving license issued by other states the time required is 21 days. So the applicant keeping the time required in mind should plan well in advance while making an application for IDP.
