Major Caused of Traffic Jams in India

Mainly there is some reason listed as under

1. There could be Indiscipline among the road user.

2. There Mightbe is right everybody are free to park their vehicle on Road.

3. There are No knowledge of traffic rules which encourage violating the rules.

4. By the Enforcement of rules by dishonest persons who are busy in collection of illegal money from traffic rules violators.

5. Large and Heavy numbers of vehicle on roads.

The number of problems like traffic congestion is a condition on road networks that occurs as use increases and is characterized by slower speeds longer trip times and increased vehicular queuing. Mostly common example is the physical use of roads by vehicles. If there is a traffic demand in great enough that the interaction between vehicles slows the speed of the traffic stream this results in some congestion. So, as demand approaches the capacity of a road (or of the intersections along the road) extreme traffic congestion sets in and when vehicles are fully stopped for periods of time this is colloquially known as a traffic jam or traffic snarl-up. The heavy Traffic congestion can lead to drivers becoming frustrated and engaging in road rage.

Our rising India has a large number of increasing vehicles as the increasing number of middle class can now afford to buy the vehicles. Even though India has launched various rapid transits like Delhi Metro and the Namma Metro and The Janmarg, Ahmedabad BRT service but traffic is still a problem in India. Our country India has more plans of increasing rapid transit systems.

Mainly there are multiple reasons but the main one is driver stupidity.

As u see on a highway when it's busy you get the slow poke who changes lanes and a speeder who over brakes and causes a lane slowdown this causes others in other lanes to slow as they don't know what's happening. Mean time this causes a chain reaction that can quickly go for half a mile in less than half a minute.

In some town you get those guys who try to fit through a light even when the light has started to change and they now block one lane of the road for the 90 degree traffic. Now this creates a backlog of vehicles for that green and this can quickly carry over into the next light as too much traffic coming in behind. Alsoyou may get the ones who are not paying attention and don't go on advanced greens or go when traffic goes but sit there (oh yeah babbling on their cells) and you miss the light. If we see it keenly there are more reasons but you get the idea mainly people not paying proper attention and doing stupid things
